A little update here, since I've been so lax in them... No winners in the Sheep & Fiber Fest, but a First and Third in the people category at the Friends of Citizen's Library photography contest. These photos are on display and are up for the People's Choice voting, so take a trip to the library in Washington, PA and vote for me, lol.
Been busy with work, family, and some exploration stuff, so not a lot of updates to the site or a lot of photography time but I will have some new photos coming up from our trip to the former Pittsburgh International Dragway and a Devo concert I attended last Friday. Wasn't allowed to take the good camera to the concert, so I had to make do with a point and shoot and my iPhone. But I got some decent shots.
Saturday, headed to a Ferry Festival in Fredericktown, PA and to see local band HitnRun play Saturday night, so hoepfully I'll get some great shots. See ya there!

Well, getting the entries for the Pennsylvania magazine photo contest ready. Had otaly forgotten about it, and now only have like three days to get everything done. Way to go, Danielle! lol... Mostly going with some Ohio Pyle shots, a few from a trip to some local coke ovens, and a couple other random shots. Fingers crossed....:)

Working on a couple photobook projects right now... The first one I'm trying to get completed sometime soon, I started on it back in May, is on the Nemacolin Mines in Greene County, PA. In between the holiday insanity and the Children's Miracle Network fundraising. If you're a local, check ou the Craft & Bake Sale being held outside the Uniontown Walmart December 1, 2010. Used books, too.

Was down at Nemacolin Mine today for a couple hours. Also stopped at another local place and got some shots. Will be posting some pics as soon as I can. Had a god couple days off of work. Happy Thanksgiving everyone... Off to bed to prepare for that wonderful event known as Black Friday!
P.S. Also some photos from Harvest Festival in Waynesburg coming soon. These were from October...

Went to Art Blast today in Greensboro with Remy. We both had fun. There were tons of local artisans there, with lots of cool wares. Remy fell in love with these little cat/monster dolls that this one lady was selling and had to have two. They were all pretty cool.

Wish I had had more money to spend, I'd have bought something from everyone, lol. Here's hoping they bring back the art show/contest again next year and that I'll be able to go again.

No winner in the Art Show, but some nice compliments :)... Oh well, there's always next year. Started a little notebook on art contests in the area, so I won't let any slip through my fingers like so many did this year.
Got a few nice shots at the parade and car show, will be posting them up as I complete them. So far this is my favorite one...

I'm thinking I may enter Popular Photography's photo contest. Not sure I have a chance against all those professional photographers, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm planning on trying to get a lot of local area pictures this month and next. Need some interesting ideas. I'm oging to be entering a couple of photos in the art show at King Coal and working on getting some local shots to enter in the GreeneScene calendar.

So, coming up on Labor Day weekend, the 5th annual Art Blast on the Mon. First year I'll be able to go and I planned on entering some photos in their usual photography contest. Well, they've decided to quit having one. Of course. I was looking forward to getting to see other local artists and entering again this year. I entered two years ago, but due to other circumstances I had to pull my photos out before judging.
